What is Yoga at The Dojo?
During yoga we intentionally relax our shoulders and neck to prevent stress and
tension from building into permanent conditions. Through yoga we learn to
develop a greater awareness of our physical and psychological states.

What is Pilates at The Dojo?
Pilates exercises are controlled movements requiring you to keep the abdominal
muscles and midsection (the powerhouse) tight and steady. The creator, Joseph
Pilate, kept paraplegics and amputatees in mind while developing this style of
exercise. He also wanted to maximize the effectiveness of a workout, not
necessarily the length.

Who can participate in Yoga and Pilate’s at The Dojo?
Anyone of can do these classes. They are low impact so people with injuries or
limiting health conditions can find these methods of programs useful and
practical. In fact, Pilate’s was developed as a rehabilitation method. Our
classes are for men and women.
