Who can participate in Summer Camp at The Dojo?
-
Team Dojo
Karate Camps are for children ages 5 to 12.
-
No Karate experience is required, in fact Team Dojo Camps are a
great way to find out if karate is an activity suited for your child!
-
Are you a working parent? Don't fear, each location provides extended
care from as early as 7:30 am to as late as 5:30 pm!
What activities can I expect at camp?
Each week of
Team Dojo
camps are different, making multiple weeks exciting new adventures! But you can
expect some of the following to be included:
-
Basic Karate kicks and punches -
learning basic skills to build on
-
Fun Games and Relays -
designed to develop balance, strength, agility, teamwork, and more!
-
Form (or Patterns) -
focusing on memorization and showmanship skills!
-
More Fun Games and Relays!
-
Martial Arts Weapons -
using "safe" weapons, of course
-
More Fun Games and Relays!
-
Martial Arts Tricks -
Karate gymnastics and more
-
More Fun Games and Relays!
-
Arts and Crafts -
everything from building kites to making your own Karate Movie!
-
More Fun Games and Relays!
Regardless of which location and weekly theme, your child is
sure to tell you that
The Dojo
camp was the best camp ever! And don't be surprised if they want to come
back again, and again, ... and again!
